Music
Works Magic, Music for Life
is delighted to
announce we will run our dance and movement classes in term 3 on
Friday afternoons at 1pm. Our teacher Cathy Winestone opened
sessions in 2009 for
3-5
yr olds at our Elsternwick studio. If the Friday 1pm class doesn't
suit please contact our office to wait-list your preferred time and
day.
Encouraging
dramatic or gentle movements Cathy elicits the children's
responses to beautiful pieces of music. These classes are
designed to complement our singing music classes. The
children will hear beautiful art, classical, folk, jazz and world
music exploring space and time. Children are encouraged to respond
to the elements within the music; loud, soft, fast, slow, high,
low, discovering how their bodies can move. Your child will develop
a strong sense of beat, spatial awareness, kinesthetic memory and
intelligence, physical co-ordination, imaginative play and
social skills.
A
fun filled, active weekly 30 minute session.
No special
uniform required. The children will dance
barefoot.
